We are at a critical point on Assembly Bill 95, to ban cyanide in mining.  The bill is in the Assembly Environment Committee chaired by Neal Kedzie (R-Elkhorn) and would move forward to hearings if we can find Republicans to co-sponsor AB 95.

   Everyone should call him at 888-534-0043 to hold hearings on AB95.

The Wolf Watershed Educational Projectnow has an on-line leaflet in support of Assembly Bill 95 to ban cyanide in mining. On Monday, April 9 at 7 pm, the Wisconsin Conservation Congress is holding Spring hearings in every county in the state. We're asking you to copy and pass out these leaflets to everyone who attends your county
hearing, so they will pressure the Assembly Environment Committee to hold hearings on AB 95.

We are also asking people to vote YES on ballot Question 76 on cyanide in mining. (and perhaps stand to announce that people should call Assembly Environment Committee Chair Kedzie at 888-534-0043). 

No matter what our opinions about other issues facing the Conservation Congress, this is one outdoors issue all Wisconsinites can agree on !!!
